What's the return to make Crash or any exclusive game available to all platforms
The beloved childhood game is coming to all platforms on July 10. Officially Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is coming to PC, PS4, XBOX ONE and Nintendo Switch. Like we all know the game was exclusive on PS4.
The idea of making an exclusive game available to all platforms reduces the value of the device. For example, some people bought the PlayStation 4 just for the Uncharted game and If the game is available for all platforms, the demand on the device will decrease.
It depends on the studio that made the game, for example, Crash Bandicoot that was made by Activision and made an agreement that it is temporary, no more and no less and it will become available for all the platforms after a year, but other games such as God Of War from Studio Santa Monica, in addition, this studio belongs to Sony so it is impossible to see it in the future for other platforms. Uncharted as well as the studio of Naughty Dog belongs to Sony and so any game from the studio is not owned by Sony it may be temporarily unavailable or they sign a contract that it is permanent exclusive.
In the end, the returns for making an exclusive game available to all platforms is decreasing the financial value of the device and this will benefit the gamers and players so much. It won't Harm the companies which the game was exclusive on that much but it's a benefit for them because anyway it was exclusive on their platform or device.
