This year's Battlefield may be set in World War 2. 2018's Battlefield Will reportedly be set during WW2. GamesBeat reports the game will be called Battlefield V.

According to GamesBeat's sources, it was previously known as Battlefield 2. That would follow in the naming and setting convention of Battlefield 1.

EA already confirmed a new Battlefield game will come in 2018. This new Battlefield will be playable at the E3-adjacent EA play event. Previous rumors of it being bad company 3 set in Vietnam are reportedly false.
