Amazon Go just skip the checkout line

We may soon be able to say goodbye to grocery checkout lines.

No lines. no checkouts. no registers.

After more than a year of staff-only testing, Amazon Go, a new checkout-free grocery store is opening to the public in Seattle.

The store uses machine learning, sensors and A.I. to track items a customer picks up.

Shopping at Amazon Go is less like going to a convenience store and more like grabbing stuff out of your own kitchen.

Shoppers simply tap a sensor at the entrance.

Grab what they need, Then walk out.

The sensors and cameras detect what shoppers pick up

and charge their Amazon Prime accounts.

Amazon's new grocery store allows its Prime members to literally grab and go.

The details of how it works:

Use the Amazon Go app to enter, then put away your phone and start shopping. it's really that simple.

Take whatever you like. anything you pick up is automatically added to your virtual cart.

If you change your mind about anything you take just put it back. their technology will update your virtual cart automatically.

So how does it work? They used computer vision deep learning algorithms and sensor fusion much like you'd find in self-driving cars. They call it Just Walk Out Technology. Once you've got everything you want you can just go.

When you leave, their just walk out Technology adds up your virtual cart and charges your Amazon account.

Your receipt is sent straight to the app and you can keep going.
